📈 How the levels get harder
Level 1 is the 2 times table, with pictures to help. Then come the 5s and 10s, 3s, 4s, 6s, 7s, 8s and 9s, a timer from level 7, the 11 and 12 times tables, and division questions at the top levels. Children need 60% right to unlock the next level and can earn up to three stars on each one. Progress is saved on the device, or in a free account made with just a nickname and four secret pictures.

Math Mountain has eight free math games for children aged 4 to 10. Every game starts gently, with counting apples or adding small numbers, and climbs through 10 levels to times tables, fractions, telling the time to five minutes and working out change. Children unlock the next level by getting at least 60% right, so they always practise at a level that suits them. Questions are made fresh each time, so a level can be replayed without simply memorising answers.
