📈 How the levels get harder

Early levels use simple words like cat and sun. Higher levels use longer, less common words and show their meaning. Children need 60% right to unlock the next level and can earn up to three stars on each one. Progress is saved on the device, or in a free account made with just a nickname and four secret pictures.

More English games in English Explorer

English Explorer has nine free English games that build vocabulary, spelling, phonics and grammar for children aged 4 to 10. Early levels use short, everyday words with pictures and spoken audio, while later levels bring in longer words, irregular plurals, synonyms and full sentences. Every word can be heard aloud, which helps early readers and children learning English as an additional language.
