🎯 How to play

  1. Look at the two numbers.
  2. Choose greater than, less than or equal to.
  3. Score 60% or more to move up a level.

🧠 What children learn

  • Greater than, less than and equal symbols
  • Place value with tens and hundreds
  • Comparing sums and larger numbers

📈 How the levels get harder

Level 1 compares single-digit numbers. Later levels use 2- and 3-digit numbers and ask children to compare the answers to sums. Children need 60% right to unlock the next level and can earn up to three stars on each one. Progress is saved on the device, or in a free account made with just a nickname and four secret pictures.

More Math games in Math Mountain

Math Mountain has eight free math games for children aged 4 to 10. Every game starts gently, with counting apples or adding small numbers, and climbs through 10 levels to times tables, fractions, telling the time to five minutes and working out change. Children unlock the next level by getting at least 60% right, so they always practise at a level that suits them. Questions are made fresh each time, so a level can be replayed without simply memorising answers.
